Abby Huntsman Speaks Truth on ‘The View’: Trump Never Gets ‘Credit for Anything He Does Right’
‘The View’ discussed Michael Cohen’s recent guilty plea for lying to Congress during the Russia probe.
The discussion quickly became heated when Ana Navarro accused President Trump of becoming too friendly with Vladimir Putin after the alleged election meddling.
Abby Huntsman jumped in to point out that President Trump has been tougher on Russia than “any administration since the Cold War.”
What a breath of fresh air to hear some truth spoken on “The View,” it’s a rare thing to see these days.
“No one ever talks about the actual issues and what’s being done to combat Russia because that’s not the shiny object. No one cares about that. No one gives the president credit for anything that he does right.”
Meghan McCain jumped in to back what Abby Huntsman and pointed out the growing relationship Putin has had with past Presidents including Clinton and Obama.
Sunny Hostin jumped in to question Trump’s decision to cancel his meeting with Putin because of Russia’s seizure of Ukrainian sailors. She asked, “When was he concerned about the Ukraine?”
This was an obviously ignorant statement and Huntsman made sure she knew it.
“Really? Really, Sunny? Really, Sunny? Trump has actually been tougher on Ukraine than President Obama was. The first thing he did with Russia when he got into office was arm the Ukrainians and put sanctions on Russia as it relates to Ukraine.”
Thank you Abby Huntsman for battling ignorance with truth and logic.
Huntsman wrapped up her lesson for the ladies by pointing out that the alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 election and Trump’s Russia policies are two different things.
“The point I’m trying to make: if you want to talk about the Mueller investigation, let’s have that talk — and the dealings that Trump had with Russia before he got into office.
But if you want to talk about actual diplomacy, things that are happening with Russia, that is a very different thing. I would love for this table — not Meghan included because she’s different — to give him credit on something.”
