Tijuana Official Breaks Down the Shocking Numbers on How Much the City Spends Per Day on the Caravan…
Tijuana delegate Genaro Lopez Moreno was on Fox News breaking down the scary impact the massive migrant caravan is having on their city. You will be shocked at how much the city is spending per day on the caravan.
While speaking with Tucker Carlson, the city official explained the negative impact of providing livable conditions for the caravan, adding that they spend up to $40,000 a day.
“Things got out of hand because they kept growing and growing. This is a federal issue, this is not a municipal issue. But we’re carrying the financial load of keeping these people with medicine, food, shelter, blankets and whatever,” Moreno said.
At first, the caravan was manageable because it only had a few hundred people but, that number quickly grew into thousands. The shelters that Tijuana set up were packed and left some still camping out on the streets in tents.
“There’s a lot of trash because the 360 grew to 6,200, and that’s when it got out of hand,” Moreno said.
Watch the interview below:
The caravan leaders brought the migrants to the border of America with false promises and at the rate they are bankrupting Tijuana, they would be better off going back to their own country.
When Tucker asked about how the Tijuana citizens felt about the caravan camping out in their city and Moreno answered,
“People from Tijuana are frustrated. If these people came here legally, if they went to our border and they started work visas, student visa, or tourist visa, there would be no problem.”
The citizens are getting worried because they are receiving very little help from the Mexican government. Some are beginning to understand the frustration of American citizens who have to deal with the many illegal immigrants who are aloud to enter the U.S.
