Trump Cancels Holiday Plans to Keep Fighting for Border Security While Pelosi Vacations During Gov Shutdown.
Democrats in Congress are waiting for President Trump to back down on his efforts to secure $5 billion for border security, but the President is cancelling his holiday plans to continue his fight in Washington.
President Trump is putting his foot down and will stay in Washington D.C. to work out a deal with Congress over the funding for the border wall.
In stark contrast, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has been seen soaking up the sun on a tropical Hawaiian vacation.
President Trump had plans for a trip to Florida, but he stayed behind while his wife Melania and son Barron traveled for the family vacation instead.
The First Lady then returned to Washington to join the President on a trip to visit our troops in Iraq, this is something a First Lady hasn’t done in many years.

Acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney appeared on Fox News on the Friday before Christmas to announce that President Trump would be cancelling his plans to travel to his Mar-a-Lago resort for the New Year and would be staying at the capital during the government shutdown instead.
Trump critic Nancy Pelosi attacked the President’s “manhood” over his advocacy for the border wall funding. Pelosi is now spending a period of the government shutdown vacationing in Hawaii.
She was spotted at an Island resort where the rooms range from $899-a-night to $4,899-a-night.
